Gemineye Tarot’s Work: Gemineye is a tarot reading, crystal ball, palmistry, pyromancy and ritual practice based in Detroit, Michigan. It is owned and operated by Alejandra Villegas. The Gemineye platform also offers education on occultism and esotericism from a scholarly and pracitioner vantage point via in-person and virtual events. Alejandra believes fiercely in the significant role of magick and spirituality for both personal and collective liberation. This magick is ever present. It can be found in fluorescent-lit office spaces, bus depots, machine shops and crumbling cities. Although it’s easy to lose sight of the enchanted it remains present. Gemineye’s work is to help support community in navigating their way back towards this beauty.

Divination, or the fortune telling services Gemineye offers, acts as a compass and lantern. These offerings give insight when one’s mind or heart is in search of clarity. They also remind us that we are seen by a force greater than ourselves, affirming our connection to divinity when our faith is shaken. Fortune telling is an age old practice of great wisdom offered in a light hearted capacity. It reenchants and inspires us when we are in need of a smile or tender guidance.

The Gemineye Ethos: This practice is dedicated to providing access to occultism. Occultism is a transnational, historic, living spiritual tradition which holds multitudes of identities within its rich canon of ritual works. It also has a history of persecution due to its heretical status amongst dominant religious and state powers. Its complex geneaology, and its resilience in spite of suppression, is a testament to the magick potency of resistance. For these reasons occultism works as a powerful lens to both understand and dismantle opressive standards of normativity. Alejandra’s work taps into this lens to humbly advocate for an intersectional, spiritual and material approach to conjuring a world of freedom from all supremacist hierarchies. Reaching this horizon can only be accomplished by embracing all heretics as kin and recognizing an unimpeachable right for all to inhabit the sanctuary of magick.
